Between 2007 and 2013, Javier Zarracina served as the Graphic Director at The Boston Globe, spearheading the creation of data visualizations, maps, and charts for diverse platforms, including video, mobile, social media, and eBooks.


During his tenure, The Globe emerged as an industry pioneer, being the first newspaper to integrate graphics within a responsive design environment.


Javier was part of the core newsroom team during the Boston Marathon bombing coverage, an effort that won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News in 2014.
